April 2017: Tim Gruver, a writer for the UW student newspaper The Daily, covered a Department of History roundtable called "Global Perspectives on Authoritarianism and Fascism" where I spoke alongside several colleagues from the departments of History and Political Science. Read the article here.

October 2013: Todd Reisz, writing for Portal 9, reviewed the special issue of Comparative Studies of South Asia, Africa and the Middle East on "Histories of Oil and Urban Modernity in the Middle East," including my article on urban development in Kirkuk between 1946 and 1958. The other articles in the issue are by Nelida Fuccaro on Bahrain, Farah Al-Nakib and Reem Alissa on Kuwait, and Mona Damluji on Abadan, Iran. Read it here.
